Winners! The International Air Rally + A Personal Goal to raise $5000. Cornerstone Women's Shelter.
On behalf of the residents, staff and volunteers at Cornerstone’s three houses for women, I would like to inform you that Martin Elder, Broker for Keller Williams, is generously collecting donations on our behalf during his participation in the International Air Rally from July 30th until August 16th, 2009.
Martin will fly more than 5000 nautical miles with his flight crew of Deborah Hind, Chris Gallant and May Cay Beeler to raise a personal goal of$1.00 for every mile travelled. By supporting Martin in achieving his personal goal to raise $5000.00 you will be helping homeless women in Ottawa through Cornerstone. Please give generously and make a tax deductible donation (note: full names and addresses are needed to issue a tax receipt).
With the help of people like yourselves, we will be able to provide emergency shelter for about 500 homeless women this year as well as serving approximately 57, 000 nutritious meals. Additionally, we provide safe, affordable permanent housing for 26 women who need support due to mental and physical health challenges, abuse and trauma.
We are grateful that you have chosen to support homeless women in their journey to healing and independence through Cornerstone. We will keep you posted in the coming year about our exciting plans to expand our shelter and housing programs for women in transition.
